That Spicy-Raw-Fishie Stuff // Sushi

IMG_3728Sometimes I’m fearful. Scared to leave my desk while at my internship because people pop into my pod with stuff for me to do on a constant basis. Last Friday, I took a chance, and left with Samia (Graphic Design Assistant) to get some of that spicy-raw-fishie-stuff!

Short on cash – cause, well, we’re both interns – we looked for the best deal surrounding the Yonge and Bloor West area. In particular, close to One Mount Pleasant Road where we work.

Right on the corner of Church Street and Hayden Street (Yorkville area, or close to Bloor Subway Station)  is a sushi joint called Asahi. Located inside an old Victorian home – it was quaint, cozy and very cute! Wooden floors with a modern flare on account of the asian inspired decor.

You can eat downstairs or upstairs, so we chose the latter of the two.

IMG_3726With a menu that had plenty to choose from, we decided to split the 13 piece spicy, crispy combo! Plus a plain salmon role to ease off the spice.

It tasted divine.

With a total of about $12.00 each, and full bellies, we ventured over to Starbucks for tea before heading back to work. A lunch well spent, we were able to pop back into our cubicles and get to work. Everyone needs a break once in a while, so add some spice to it.
