I’ve been having ANXIETY before I go to bed and when I wake up each morning for the past couple of days this week. Some might call it second thoughts…all because I’m becoming and going to be a Spartan this Saturday. If you’ve seen the videos and imagined yourself as a 24-year-old, petite, skinny, somewhat feisty and determined girl participating…then you’d understand my predicament. My biggest fear is getting trampled or breaking my wrist. I’ve made the payment to participate, so there is no turning back.
Technically called the “Spartan Sprint“, this race is a combination of a 3 mile run (5km) and 15 obstacles. I’ve been telling people it’s 10 obstacles, but what did I know? I wasn’t the one who signed us up….though I did consent to take part. These races take place in the United States, Britain, and Canada.
I know what you’re thinking…have you even been training? Well, I have. I can run 3 miles. I can lift weights…I won’t disclose the amount of weight I can lift, but I’m sure you get the gist.
3 friends and I signed up as a team of 4. Our heap starts at 12pm this SATURDAY. Wish me luck, and I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes. I’m scared.
